Mbabane- Philanthropist Sifiso ‘Illa Penboy’ Ndlangamandla has launched a crowdfunding campaign to build for the Shabangu family that had their E500 000 homestead demolished at KaNcesi last week.
The campaign which urges citizens to donate money or building material for Bonkhe Shabangu can be assumed to be targeting reaching enough resources for a two-bedroom house.
Meanwhile, the Shabangu family has reportedly been allocated by the Umphakatsi a new plot to rebuild their homestead.“Let’s go for a 2 bedroom house, together we can do it. Who is in? You can donate from as little as E20…,” he posted on his Facebook page.
Through a grassroots fundraising campaign, the community has already gathered enough resources to begin construction on a new home.
At least E3,700 in cash donations, building materials including 45 bags of cement, 1000 blocks, and two loads of crushed stones for the foundation of the new house, have been secured.
In addition to the building materials, the campaign has also secured valuable equipment, with a donation of three solar flood lights valued at E5,000.
The artist is appealing to all emaSwati to join the initiative, with donations being accepted via mobile money or e-wallet at 78637196.
