Mbabane – Enactus Eswatini 2025 champions, University of Eswatini’s team Luyengo Campus, are preparing to take their innovative project to the global stage at the Enactus World Cup on September 26 in Thailand.
Following their national victory, the team is now gearing up to represent Eswatini and showcase their entrepreneurial solutions on an international stage.
Luyengo Campus was crowned champions on August 1 during the national finals, thanks to their groundbreaking business, EcoHarvest, which produces NutriPlune, an organic fertilizer made from chicken broiler feathers.
These feathers, if improperly disposed of, contribute to water, land, and air pollution, significantly threatening the project both environmentally and economically.
The initiative has already attracted Eswatini Environment Fund support. Through the Eswatini Environment Authority, the fund awarded the team a E180,000 grant to purchase equipment and scale up production. This innovative approach impressed the judges and secured the team’s victory.
As they look forward to the World Cup, the team is refining strategies, strengthening teamwork, and developing presentations to highlight the tangible benefits of their projects. They also aim to network with like-minded students and professionals from around the world, gain mentorship from experienced facilitators, and build confidence in presenting their innovative solutions.
