MBABANE – Musician, producer and creative entrepreneur, Lwazi ‘Lution’ Dlamini, is now a member of the National Coalition of Black American Filmmakers (NCBAF).
This comes after the Eswatini-based creative was invited to join the US-based non-profit organisation in October 2024.
Founded in 2004, NCBAF is dedicated to empowering and creating opportunities for Black filmmakers, producers, and artists across the globe. The coalition provides its members with mentorship, industry events, workshops, and access to international platforms designed to advance their creative career.
Lution said this was a big step in his career and he is honoured to be part of such an influential organisation.
“I am truly humbled and excited to be part of this prestigious network. This membership will not only help me grow as a creative person but will also open doors to collaborate and connect with like-minded individuals from across the world,” he said.
NCBAF provides members with resources such as mentorship, industry events, workshops, and access to global opportunities.
The organisation’s international approach to the arts and community engagement ensures that members have the ability to impact work and uplift their communities.
Lution has been steadily building his profile both locally and internationally. His music and productions have received recognition from across the continent, including SABC’s Metro FM.
In 2023, he was also featured on the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list in the creatives category, cementing his status as one of the region’s leading young talents.
As a member of NCBAF, Lution will contribute his expertise while also learning from other members who use their craft for good causes, including raising awareness on important social issues through film and music.
With its headquarters in California and Ohio, NCBAF has become a hub for Black creatives across the diaspora, fostering collaborations that merge talent, culture, and social impact.
As Lution embarks on this new chapter, his inclusion signals both personal growth and a step forward for Eswatini’s creative sector on the international stage.
