Ezulwini – Nsingizini Hotspurs FC launched their monthly television show, Insingiz’Yezulu, on Friday evening, attracting fans, players, and community members to celebrate football in the Kingdom.
Derrick Shiba, president of Nsingizini Hotspurs, told guests the show was inspired by His Majesty the King’s vision for a “first world” standard in sports. “We want to develop football professionally, inspire our communities, and give hope to the youth,” Shiba said.
He added, “Let’s not fight each other. Let’s unite. Let’s turn football into business.” Shiba urged all 32 Premier League teams to recognize football as a uniting sport, fostering collaboration and ensuring sustainability for future generations. “There must be a proper succession plan so children can run football and play football in the future,” he said.
Shiba also outlined the club’s goals to defend their league title for at least three consecutive seasons and to promote African football from Eswatini. He credited corporate support and mentorship from business leaders, including Mr. Shakan of Inyatsi Group, for helping the club adopt professional standards across Africa.
Preparation for the season included a strong technical team, with a sporting director and coaches experienced in South Africa. The club played international friendlies against teams including Mamelodi Sundowns, Black Bulls in Mozambique, Sekhukune, and Durban City. “With good preparation and investment in our players, we aim to defend the league and achieve more glory this season,” Shiba said.
