MBABANE – The Young Buffaloes Ladies football team left Eswatini today for Johannesburg, South Africa, to compete in the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers at the UJ Muller Stadium.
The squad will face Group B opponents Gaborone United and Kick4Life, with only one team from the COSAFA region set to advance to the continental finals. Each match carries high stakes, with every goal potentially determining the team’s progress.
Coach and officials said the squad combines experienced players with emerging talent. Goalkeepers Gcinile Dlamini and Nokwanda Mamba will guard the net, while defenders Futhie Dlamini, Welile Ndwandwe, Simangele Sikhondze, Noxolo Malinga, Badelisile Ngozo, Nomvuyo Dvuba, Samkelisiwe Malinga, and Thandeka Mbatha form the backline. Midfielders Tananile Ngcamphalala, Sisanda Ndzinisa, and Smile Marks are expected to control play, and strikers Siphilisiwe Ndlovu, Nonjabuliso Mokgale, Celiwe Nkambule, Temalangeni Dlamini, and Sikhanyiso Magagula will lead the attack.
