Elangeni – Correctional Services’ Senzo Fakudze has claimed the BOAD National Darts Championships singles title after defeating veteran Abraham Ndzinisa 7-3 at Elangeni High School. The rising Green Arrows player overcame the defending champion in what was billed as a ‘double trouble’ final.
Fakudze took home a trophy, gold medal, and E900, bringing pride to the Correctional Services team. Fellow Green Arrows player Banele Mndzebele finished third in the singles, receiving a bronze medal and E400.
Flag Nxumalo earned player of the tournament honours for recording the highest averages, receiving a trophy and E500.
In team events, Green Arrows secured second place, winning silver medals and E1,500. In the doubles, Nxumalo and Ntokozo Makhanya finished second with silver medals and E400 each, while Jethro Ndzingane and Sandziso Nhleko took third, receiving bronze medals and E200 each.
