PIGG’S PEAK – A two-week Robotics Boot Camp has been launched at the Pigg’s Peak i-Hub, giving children and teenagers from ages 6 to 18 the chance to gain practical skills in robotics, artificial intelligence and other STEM fields.
The programme, which began this week, is aimed at building Eswatini’s digital skills base while preparing young people to compete in the global economy. Organisers say it is designed to sharpen problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking, while also encouraging innovation among the country’s future leaders.
i-Hub operator Sebenele Zikalala said the training seeks to prepare the next generation for opportunities in the fast-changing digital space, noting that young people need exposure to technology early in order to lead in tomorrow’s world.
Alongside robotics and coding, the camp also focuses on entrepreneurship, teaching participants how to apply technology to create solutions and potential business ventures.
