MBABANE – The Hospitality and Tourism Association of Eswatini (HOTAES) and the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) have launched the Tourism Nkwe competition to promote local tourism under the theme “Be a Tourist in Eswatini.” The initiative kicks off on 21 August 2025 and targets residents across the Kingdom.
Eswatini residents are invited to create social media videos explaining what Tourism Nkwe means to them, showcasing the country’s top tourist attractions, and encouraging others to visit. Entries must tag HOTAES and ETA’s official accounts and include hashtags such as #tourismnkwe25, #Eswatinitoruism, #Eswatintravel, and #getreadyforNkwe.
Winners will receive experiences including a family game drive or walk at KaMsholo, Chubeka Trails horse rides at KaMsholo and Mlilwane, a Hlane Rhino Drive for four, and a two-hour botanical walk at Reilly’s Rock. Additional prizes include two Sunday lunches at Happy Valley, a Ngwenya Glass voucher worth E500, and a Leap Taxi App voucher of E500.
The competition is open only to Eswatini residents who must provide proof of residence when collecting prizes. Staff, family members, and officials linked to ETA and HOTAES are excluded from participation.
