MANZINI – The Eswatini Environment Authority convened a validation workshop yesterday at the George Hotel to assess the country’s technical skills needs and review the operations of the Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Centre (RRC).
The meeting, held on 12 August, brought together industry leaders, training institutions and other stakeholders to address gaps in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and ensure alignment with the goals of the Kigali Amendment and the Montreal Protocol.
Participants examined shortcomings in existing technical training programmes and discussed ways to adapt curricula to meet evolving industry demands. The session also evaluated the RRC’s business case, focusing on its economic, environmental and operational feasibility to secure long-term sustainability and national impact.
