EZULWINI – Local fashion house Sgonian Republik has designed a one-of-a-kind master jacket for the winner of the FNB Eswatini Golf Challenge, introducing a new tradition at this year’s tournament.
The jacket was created by Eswatini designer Philani Mpanza, the creative force behind Sgonian Republik. Known for garments that blend modern silhouettes with Swati cultural elements, Mpanza was commissioned to create a prize that reflects both style and national pride.
The unveiling took place during the Pro-AM prize-giving ceremony at Ezulwini Golf and Country Club, where FNB Eswatini CEO Thokozani TK Dlamini introduced the jacket as the tournament’s new symbol of victory.
The golf challenge, which has drawn 120 players, is being held from August 5 to 9. The eventual champion will not only take home the trophy but will be the first golfer to wear the Sgonian Republik-designed jacket — a piece rooted in Eswatini’s creative craftsmanship.
