Mbabane – A group of 25 farmers from across Eswatini have begun a five-day training aimed at preparing them to meet international agricultural standards under the Global G.A.P. certification programme.
The workshop, which kicked off today, is being conducted by extension officers from NAMBoard and the Ministry of Agriculture, who were trained earlier in May under a “Training of Trainers” initiative. The officers are now leading the sessions to share practical knowledge and technical skills with the farmers.
Held as part of ongoing efforts to open up global markets to local producers, the programme is backed by the European Union through the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Eswatini.
