Nhlangano – Resilient Mafu founder Thembisile Mafu has been named Outstanding Agribusiness Entrepreneur at the 2025 Shiselweni Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Awards, recognising her contribution to agriculture and business in the southern region.
Mafu, an alumna of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) programme supported by the U.S. Embassy in Eswatini, was honoured earlier this month for her work in agribusiness, where she continues to build a brand rooted in sustainability and innovation.
Alongside the regional recognition, she also received a E10,000 seed capital boost through MTN Eswatini’s Cija Ngebhizinisi initiative, which supports emerging business owners across the country.
The award adds to her growing reputation as one of the most promising female entrepreneurs in the local agriculture sector. Her company, Resilient Mafu, has been working to create value chains and opportunities in farming for rural communities.
