SIPHOFANENI – Residents of Siphofaneni received direct access to financial information on Wednesday as officials from the Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE), Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), Eswatini Competition Commission (ECC), and the Ombudsman of Financial Services held an outreach session in the town.
The campaign aimed to bring financial education to communities that may not typically engage with regulatory institutions. Residents were guided on a variety of issues including the features of the updated E10 and E20 banknotes, consumer protection rights, and how to lodge complaints through the Ombudsman’s office.
The outreach also provided practical advice for small business owners, particularly around accessing the Small-Scale Enterprise Loan Guarantee Scheme, which supports entrepreneurs who lack sufficient collateral to qualify for traditional bank loans.
