SITEKI – Agricultural businesses topped the winners’ list at the Lubombo edition of the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (EYA), which took place on Monday as part of a nationwide programme recognising outstanding small enterprises.
The regional event, supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade alongside title sponsor FNB Eswatini and the FNB Foundation, drew 103 entries from the Lubombo region alone. From 412 applicants across the country, 79 businesses from the eastern region were shortlisted and assessed by the judging panel.
Lubombo’s dominance in the agricultural sector came through clearly in the results. DJD Pork walked away with two top honours: Regional Winner and Outstanding Agribusiness.

- Outstanding Handicraft Business: Ncami’s Handicraft Design
- Outstanding Youth-Owned Business: Grow Pure Farm Products
- Outstanding Women-Owned Business: Nomfundo’s Fresh Produce
- Outstanding Agribusiness: DJD Pork
- Outstanding Start-up: DJ Lolo Farms
- Outstanding Street Vendor: Sebengetekile
Grow Pure Farm Products took the title of Outstanding Youth-Owned Business, while Nomfundo’s Fresh Produce earned recognition in the Outstanding Women-Owned Business category. DJ Lolo Farms was named Outstanding Start-up, Ncami’s Handicraft Design was celebrated for excellence in handicrafts, and local trader Sebengetekile received the award for Outstanding Street Vendor.
