MBABANE – The Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, is lined up to speak at the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation Youth Summit, 2025, panel discussion to be held at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) Kwaluseni Campus Sports Emporium on Wednesday July 16.
Organisers say the event aims to bridge the gap between young people and the rapidly evolving digital landscape, providing practical tools, insights, and networking opportunities for youth-led innovation.
The summit also serves as a platform to align with Eswatini’s broader development goals, particularly those that prioritise technology, youth empowerment, and sustainable growth.
Minister Matsebula supports a special panel discussion on the role of AI in healthcare.
The summit is hosted by Stratcom collaboration with the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) through the Department of Research, Science, Technology and Innovation (RSTI) and the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP), in partnership with the UNESWA AI Academy, the Eswatini National Commission for UNESCO, the Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF), and CHAI Eswatini, among other strategic partners.
It will last two days, starting from July 16 to end on the 17th.
The summit themed, “Empowering the Next Generation for a Digital Future,” is focused on equipping the youth with skills and the knowledge to harness AI-driven innovation across various sectors including health, education, fintech, communication, and entrepreneurship.
Over 15 sessions and masterclasses are scheduled, covering emerging opportunities in digital innovation and skills development.
Topics include ethical AI, the future of work, and how young people can harness technology to meaningfully contribute to Eswatini’s economy.
The summit will feature prominent regional and local voices in technology and innovation.

- Talifhani Banks, Founder and CEO of Spaza Eats (South Africa)
