Dozens of young people gathered at Piggs Peak on Tuesday, July 8, for the Out of School Career Expo, an initiative organised by the Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC) aimed at providing direction and opportunities for youth not currently in formal education or employment.
Kwakha Indvodza, one of the organisations present at the event, engaged participants through its Learn 2 Earn programme and skills development sessions. The organisation focused on helping young people identify income-generating opportunities within their communities, encouraging self-reliance through practical skills and resourcefulness.
Among the standout moments of the day was the participation of Senkhosi Mdluli, a beneficiary of Kwakha Indvodza’s programmes, who exhibited his handcrafted beadwork. His products attracted attention from both fellow youth and invited guests, some of whom made purchases on the spot.
