MBABANE – The state funeral of the late former Prime Minister, Prince Mabandla, will take place this weekend, with national arrangements confirmed by government.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, 12 July 2025, at 10am at the New Zakhele Free Evangelical Assemblies church auditorium. The ceremony is expected to draw key figures from across the Kingdom, honouring the former Prime Minister’s contribution to Eswatini’s political history.
Prince Mabandla, who served as Prime Minister during a crucial period in the country’s post-independence governance, will be buried at Ntfonjeni in the Hhohho region on the morning of Sunday, 13 July. The burial will follow Swazi royal customs, including an overnight vigil at KaNdwandwe Umphakatsi.
Members of the public wishing to send their condolences may do so through the condolence book available at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. The arrangements were confirmed in a statement issued by Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla on Tuesday.
