MANZINI – Worshippers took over Manzini Junction on Saturday as the Itende Worship Experience (IWE) staged a vibrant open-air gospel event that drew hundreds of youth and believers from across the country.
The city buzzed with energy as the sound of praise music echoed between buildings, with people lifting hands, dancing, and singing in unity. The gathering, known as the Massive Open Air, transformed the bustling urban space into a spiritual hotspot.
South African preacher Apostle Linda Ndaba, widely known as the Chwechwa President, led the day’s ministry. Travelling from Cape Town, his message stirred deep emotional responses, with many attendees moving to the front in worship, prayer, and personal breakthroughs.

“This was more than a concert — it was a call to return to God,” said Tumelo Mnisi, Head of Marketing for IWE. “We were especially moved by how many young people showed up. It’s clear that youth in Eswatini are longing for something real.”
The event also served as a warm-up for IWE’s next big gathering: a live recording set for 28 November. The project will feature 20 local gospel artists, many of whom have emerged from IWE’s mentorship programme.
“This recording is about celebrating what God is doing through Eswatini’s own voices,” Mnisi said. “We’re hoping to fill the venue and lift the sound of worship even higher.”
