Sikhuphe – His Majesty King Mswati III has returned to Eswatini following a working trip that took him to Ghana and Spain. Inkhosikati LaMagongo accompanied the King during the official engagements abroad. The royal delegation landed at King Mswati III International Airport on Saturday evening, where they were received by Emakhosikati, traditional leaders, Prime Minister Russell Dlamini, cabinet ministers, members of Emabandla and a crowd of citizens.
The King’s first stop was Ghana, where he spent five days engaging in a packed programme that included high-level talks, cultural visits, and academic engagements. On his arrival in Accra, he held bilateral discussions with President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency. He later travelled to Kumasi where he was welcomed by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at Manhyia Palace.

While in Kumasi, His Majesty addressed members of the National House of Chiefs, toured the historic Manhyia Palace Museum, visited the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and participated in a durbar of chiefs held in his honour. He also visited the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he joined the Asantehene at a congregation ceremony.
After Ghana, the King continued to Seville, Spain, where he arrived on the night of June 28 to attend the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development. The summit brought together heads of state, policymakers, and global financial leaders to discuss strategies for mobilising sustainable development funding across the Global South.
