TAIPEI – A high-level strategic meeting between the Kingdom of Eswatini and top Taiwanese manufacturers took place on Friday at the Regent Taipei Hotel, setting the stage for future trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Minister of Economic Planning and Development, Dr. E.T. Gina, led the Eswatini delegation in talks aimed at linking the country to Taiwan’s advanced manufacturing and logistics sectors. The discussions focused on building export partnerships, improving logistics systems, and exploring the possibility of establishing Taiwanese production facilities on Eswatini soil.

Representing Eswatini during the session was Mr. Sifiso Dlamini, Sales Director for African Supply under CSAlliance Corporation Ltd. He was instrumental in facilitating conversations between the ministry and key Taiwanese industry players.

The Taiwanese delegation signalled strong interest in expanding their footprint in Africa, using Eswatini as a potential gateway to the region’s markets. Discussions also included opportunities in education, agro-processing, and biotech.

As a token of goodwill, each Taiwanese company presented special gifts to Minister Gina. The items will be shipped to Eswatini as a sign of respect and partnership.

A follow-up visit by the Taiwanese delegation to the Kingdom is expected in August 2025 to deepen the engagements and explore on-ground investment opportunities.
