Mbabane – Thirty students from Eswatini have been selected for the prestigious India-Africa Maitri Scholarship Scheme for the 2025–26 academic year. Offered by the Government of India and facilitated through the High Commission in Mbabane, the fully funded scholarships cover tuition fees, airfare, and living expenses. One additional student has also been chosen under the QUAD STEM Scholarship scheme.
All selected students are required to accept their scholarship offers via the portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in by 14 July 2025. Those who fail to respond by the deadline risk forfeiting the opportunity, as offers will then be extended to candidates on the merit waiting list.
Each student must also obtain the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) equivalence for their academic qualifications, where necessary. This can be done through https://evaluation.aiu.ac.in/student/login or by contacting the AIU at:
Once confirmed by the High Commission, each student must register on the Study in India (SII) portal at https://studyinindia.gov.in/admission/registrations/index to obtain a Unique ID needed for visa processing and registration with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO).
