EZULWINI– The United States has pledged to expand commercial ties with Eswatini, with a renewed focus on boosting economic opportunities and attracting American investment into the kingdom.
Speaking at the 249th U.S. Independence Day celebration held in Eswatini, Chargé d’Affaires Caitlin Piper said the U.S. is shifting greater attention to commercial diplomacy, aiming to connect American companies with local markets and support an environment conducive to investment.
Piper told guests that the embassy would work closely with the government, private sector, and citizens to help remove trade barriers and foster partnerships that benefit both countries. She urged U.S. businesses to take smart risks and invest in Eswatini, describing the country as full of untapped potential.
She also called on Eswatini’s public and private stakeholders to continue strengthening conditions that attract sustainable investment.
