MBABANE – Local entrepreneur Daladi Genesis Dlamini gave a stirring account of personal loss and recovery during the 2025 Men’s Mental Health Symposium, hosted by Semusa Networks under the theme “Build Him”. The event took place at the Woodlands auditorium and brought together men from various walks of life to engage on emotional well-being and identity.
Dlamini, the founder of Plant Co Pty Ltd, formerly known as Emfuleni, opened up about a time when he lost everything—his business, relationships, and reputation.
“I didn’t know who I was without the things I owned,” he told the crowd. “My identity was tied to what I had, not who I truly was.”
His testimony, marked by honesty and vulnerability, struck a deep chord in the room. He recalled how he had to endure the sting of betrayal, public ridicule, and whispered conversations by people who didn’t know he was standing within earshot.
Rather than give in to bitterness, Dlamini said he chose to pursue growth. He recounted a private moment of commitment where he promised God never to build a business that would harm families, promote addiction, or damage people’s mental health.
That promise led him to walk away from ventures involving alcohol and instead focus on businesses that support healing and restoration.
