MBABANE – The Moneni Pirates Football Club has announced the resignation of its head coach, Caleb Ngwenya after six months.
Ngwenya cited personal reasons.
Moneni Pirated said that the club’s president and the board of directors have reviewed Ngwenya’s request and accepted his resignation, wishing him all the best in his future endeavours.
“The club extends its heartfelt gratitude to coach Ngwenya for his professionalism, dedication, and positive impact on the team during his tenure,” the statement reads in part.
The club also stated that Ngwenya’s expertise and leadership will be remembered as a period of growth and renewed competitiveness for the club.
Under Ngwenya’s leadership, Moneni Pirates achieved a memorable run to the Ingwenyama Cup Finals and an impressive 5th place finish in the MTN Premier League, collecting 41 points.
Ngwenya joined Moneni Pirates in January 2025, bringing much-needed stability to the team. In the last season he was with Mbabane Swallows.
The club has promised its supporters that it will communicate further updates regarding its technical team and future plans in due course.
