Manzini – Thousands of gospel music lovers filled Mavuso Exhibition Centre on Saturday night as Eswatini’s gospel darling Nothando Hlophe hosted her much-anticipated live recording concert titled A New Dawn.
Held on June 7, the show kicked off later than expected, but the slight delay did little to dampen the spirit of the crowd, many of whom waited patiently in anticipation of the live music experience. Once the event got underway, it delivered an electrifying mix of praise and worship that kept attendees on their feet for hours.
Hlophe was joined on stage by a star-studded lineup of guest performers from South Africa, including Xolly Mncwango, Jumbo, Ayanda Ntanzi, Rofhiwa Manyanga, Make Faith Khanyile of Glory of the Last Days, and Linda Ndaba, popularly known as the Chwechwa President. The inclusion of local star Sandz, famous for his viral hit Tigi, gave the event a distinctly homegrown feel and showcased the blend of local and regional gospel artistry.
One of the night’s memorable moments came during a live raffle when a lucky audience member walked away with the newly released iPhone 16 Pro Max, courtesy of Eswatini Mobile.

The evening wrapped up on a high note with an energetic closing set by South African gospel heavyweight Jumbo, whose performance had fans singing along to his well-loved hits.
Throughout the night, Hlophe maintained a powerful connection with her audience, delivering soul-stirring renditions that left fans cheering for more. Her setlist, carefully crafted to match the theme of spiritual renewal and celebration, drew emotional reactions from many in attendance.
She later thanked her supporters for showing up in large numbers and making the live recording a night to remember.
