SHISELWENI – Deputy Prime Minister Thuli Dladla paid a working visit to Paradise Farm on Thursday as part of a national tour to inspect progress under the Hamba Ubuye Project, an agricultural initiative spearheaded by the Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise (EWADE).

Located in the Shiselweni region, Paradise Farm is one of the key project sites where 50 hectares of dry beans have been cultivated. The site is part of a broader national effort that has seen 102 hectares of land planted under the Hamba Ubuye programme, with support from the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).

The DPM expressed her appreciation for the project’s impact on rural livelihoods, describing it as a model for tackling food insecurity in Eswatini. During the visit, she praised EWADE for driving sustainable agricultural development and increasing national food production.

EWADE officials noted that the dry bean production initiative was designed to address hunger at the grassroots level and help reduce dependency on imported food.
