Several civil works projects are underway in the Shiselweni Region as the Ministry of Public Works and Transport pushes forward with efforts to improve rural connectivity and transportation infrastructure.

Key among these developments is the Ndabazezwe low-level crossing, which has been elevated to enhance durability against recent weather conditions. The upgrade has already made movement easier for residents in the area.

In Mkhwakhweni, construction of a new low-level crossing is nearing completion. The project includes targeted re-graveling of critical sections to support smoother travel for commuters and local transporters.

The Mzinsangu low-level crossing spans the Mkhokhoba River, linking Mshololo and Mzinsangu communities. The structure also provides better access to Ndzungunye Primary School and now includes concrete approach roads on both ends.
