Manzini – Hundreds of bikers from within the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) are expected in Eswatini to rev up the Manzini tracks next week.
This was confirmed by one of the organisers of the Impisi Rally Show, telling Independent News that they are bringing an exhilarating next week filled with thrilling races, captivating exhibitions and a celebration of riding culture that will leave motorcycle enthusiasts buzzing with excitement.
Ayanda Masina (former president of the Hyena Motorcycle Club (MCC)) told Independent News that they had successfully hosted the event for the past nine years with the upcoming event marking the 10th anniversary of showcasing competitive races. Masina announced that the dates scheduled for the event are May 2nd to the 4th, 2025 and they would be dispatched at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in Manzini.
Over the years, Masina said, the MCC still grows into a respected and influential event, not just among bikers but in the broader Eswatini community as well as the SADC bloc. Masina also highlighted that the club “stands firmly on the pillars of brotherhood, charity and community development, living up to its motto of making a difference wherever possible.”
“It’s also a charity-driven event aimed at giving back to the very communities that have supported Hyena MCC throughout the decade,” he said.
Masina further mentioned that part of the proceeds will go towards a local charitable initiative, continuing the club’s tradition of hosting three major charity events every year.
Spectators are promised a show with activities such as live performances from top local regional artists, custom bike shows, biker games and challenges, food stalls, and exhibitions, as well as cultural showcases highlighting Eswatini’s rich heritage. The entry fee is E200, it was said. Masina said they are expecting the turnout to be hundreds of bikers and supporters.
