MBABANE – The Lubombo Marathon will return for its seventh edition on April 5, 2025, at the Siteki Sports Ground, with nearly 500 athletes already registered. Organizers are aiming for a total of 1,000 participants to take part in the popular event.
The marathon offers three race categories: the 42.2km full marathon, the 21.1km half marathon, and the 10km fun run. Registration fees are E200 for the full and half marathon, and E160 for the fun run. Participants are urged to sign up quickly, as registration closes on April 3, 2025, and goodie bags will be available only to the first 500 registrants.
Attractive cash prizes await the top performers across all categories. The winners of the full marathon, both male and female, will receive E5,000, while the half marathon winners will earn E3,000. The fun run victors will be awarded E2,000.

Payment options include Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Mobile Money, with payment details for FNB, MoMo, and Capitec available.
The marathon is open to runners of all ages, with categories for juniors (Under-20), seniors (20-39 years), veterans (40-49 years), masters (50-59 years), and grandmasters (60+ years).
