Mbabane- The Mbabane East Member of Parliament (MP) Welcome Dlamini appreciated Lutsango from his constituency by gifting them with food parcels.
Dlamini who handed over the gifts to over 100 women under his constituency said this was an appreciation for their unwavering commitment in preserving culture.
The Mbabane East MP said the women’s participation in the recent Buhleni and Hlane Buganu festival did not go unnoticed. The tokens of appreciation included a 3 kg of rice, a package of wors, dried vegetables and fruits.
Dlamini urged the regiment to instill cultural values to their children and encourage them to participate in national events. He also said he promoted mutual respect for each other, stating that the Emaswati need not lose the respect they are known for.
Moreover, Dlamini urged the regiment to warn children against enlisting in acts of gangsterism.
Mbabane East Indvuna yeLutsango Norah Ndlangamandla expressed their gratitude to the MP saying that the gifting motivates the women to uphold the heritage ethos.
