MACMILLAN EDUCATION ESWATIN MAKES A CONTRIBUTION FOR BOOKS WORTH E34 000 TO THREE SCHOOLS

Mbabane:Upon honoring World Read Aloud Day, Macmillan Education Eswatini has demonstrated its commitment to literacy by donating books worth E34 000 to three different schools, namely Luhhumaneni Primary School, St. Manettus primary School and Bhunya High School.

The World Read Aloud, individuals are encouraged to read aloud to one another, so as to ensure that their get to understand better and also to create love and joy towards reading as it is a very crucial method of learning. It is a global event dedicated to promoting literacy as a fundamental human right; by participating in this initiative, Macmillan Education Eswatini reinforced its dedication to enhancing education and nurturing young minds. Managing Director Bongani Motsa, stated that by participating in this initiative, the company reinforced its dedication to enhancing education and nurturing young minds. ” At Macmillan, we are delighted to lead a hand in supporting schools through quality educational resources, we also make it a point to go the extra mile where possible because nurturing young minds is a shared vision and passion between Macmillan and the schools receiving our support today. ” By this gesture, we aim to empower learners to grow into confident and capable individuals, he further explained that it is through initiatives like these that we strive to make a meaningful difference in the education sector, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, dream and succeed.

The Macmillan sales and marketing team joined the school who received the donations and read books to with excited learners, those who were outstanding received tokens of appreciation and certificates. The donation comprised books that were carefully selected to cater for the learner’s different learning needs and levels. Some of the teachers expressed deep gratitude for the generous contribution, one of the beneficiaries, Luhhumaneni Primary School Deputy headteacher, Apollo Dlamini, expressed his deepest gratitude for the generous contribution. “We are truly grateful to Macmillan Education Eswatini for this invaluable gift, books are the foundation of knowledge and this donation will go a long way in improving literacy among our learners.
