Acting PM assures support for flood victims

Mbabane- In the wake of catastrophic rainfall that has wreaked havoc across the Kingdom of Eswatini, the Government has pledged immediate and comprehensive support to affected communities.

This information is contained in a press release issued today afternoon. In a heartfelt statement, the Government expressed its deepest condolences to all who have been impacted. The Government reassured citizens that it is fully committed to responding to the crisis with urgency, solidarity, and compassion.

“As a Government, we do understand the deep sense of loss and frustration that this may cause, and I want to assure you that as your Government, we stand with you,” sympathetically said the acting Prime Minister Honourable Thulisile Dladla.

As recovery efforts gain momentum, the Government is prioritizing the restoration of vital infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, to ensure that the basic needs of EmaSwati are met swiftly.

“The Ministry of Public Works and Transport is already on the ground, working diligently to rebuild damaged public and urban infrastructure,” reads the statement.

Recognizing the challenges that lie ahead, the Government has appealed for patience and cooperation from all EmaSwati. “Together we will rebuild a stronger and more resilient Kingdom of Eswatini,” reads the press release, underscoring the importance of unity during this difficult time.

Furthermore, the Government reiterated its deepest sympathies to all affected by the disaster, assuring citizens that they are not alone in their struggle. “ We will do everything in our power to ensure that our communities emerge from this tragedy stronger than ever,” the statement concluded.
