“We boast a huge number of residents and this was evident during the 2023 general elections as per the electorate numbers confirmed by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC). Siphofaneni recorded second position in terms of the highest number of the electorate ahead of Kwaluseni who had the highest number of people,” she said.

The legislator disclosed further that the huge number of their population consisted many needy orphaned and vulnerable children as well as poor elderly people.

“Yes, we may have a huge number of populace but the truth of the matter which I do not intend to hind is that the community in living under extreme poverty. We have many orphans who need support with school uniforms and other necessities as well as elderly people who do not have adequate shelter,” she said.

The MP called upon Build It management to focus on helping, in particular, these groups of the population as part of their social responsibility programmes.
