Mbabane: “We are focusing on the league title more than the first round incentive and we are ready to face Young Buffaloes”. This was said by Royal Leopard Assistant Coach Mfanzile ‘Fash’ Dlamini during a press conference pre-match at Sigwaca House on Tuesday.
The much anticipated match will take place at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium on Wednesday at 3pm.
The police ensemble are not more interested in the first round incentive which comes with the E350 000 carrot, but their main target is the league itself.
He said besides being on the summit of the log, they will not rest until they achieve their goal. He said they are playing very well at the moment and they are happy with the team’s performance.
“I played with Buffaloes Coach Sabelo Mnisi at Mhlambanyatsi Rovers. He was a defender while I was a striker, so he know best how to defend while I know how to score goals which will make the game more interesting from a tactical perspective.” Dlamini said.
Royal Leopard captain Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini echoed his coach’s words. He said their main goal is the league and he is also not focusing on individual achievement as he is among the top league top scorers chart with eight goals, four goals adrift from Phiwa Dlamini who now have 12 goals and is leading the race.
On the other hand, Young Buffaloes Captain, Nhlanhla Gwebu said they are aware of the threat which their opponent possess, but they are ready to take them on.
“We are preparing rigorous for this game and we will continue to work hard until the end of the season. We are taking one game at a time,” said Gwebu.
