Mbabane: The Kingdom of Eswatini will have yet another State Funeral on Thursday as the late Minister of Labour and Social Security Makhosi Vilakati will be laid to rest on this date.
The announcement was made by the Acting Prime Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku in a statement issued on Wednesday afternoon.
“Government announces that the late Minister of Labour and Social Security Hon. Makhosi Vilakati will be accorded a State Funeral to be held at his home at LaMgabhi on Thursday, 28 January 2021,” reads the statement.

Vilakati’s state funeral service will be held in his honour at his home KaLamgabhi in the Manzini region and the service will commence at 8am.
Vilakati is the third politician to succumb to COVID-19 following Christian Ntshangase who was the Minister of Public Service.
The Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini also died of this pandemic late last year.
Meanwhile, the country’s COVID-19 death toll have rapidly increased, reaching 517 on Tuesday, January 26. This alarming number of deaths includes the aforementioned politicians, religious leaders to name but a few.
