Mbabane: Young Buffaloes and the national team top striker Phiwa Silwabelwabe Dlamini has now been confirmed the MTN premier league top goals scorer after visiting the back of the net 23 times this season.
Dlamini has set a new record since he is the first player in the premier league in the history of football in the country to have scored so many goals in one season.
‘Silwabelwabe” as he is known in football circles beat Mbabane Highlanders and Sihlangu striker Sabelo’Sikhali’Ndzinisa who finished the season with only 17 goals.
Phiwa ‘Silwabelwabe’ Dlamini has now confirmed the MTN premier league top goals scores and is guaranteed the hefty cheque of E12 000 emalangeni for being the top goals scores of the 2020/2021 season. Now the supporters of the beautiful game are waiting with keen interest as to see who will now be named the player of the season.
Surprisingly Silwabelwabe was named the first-round best player and now it’s a wait-and-see what will happen, is he going to be named the player of the season or the award will go elsewhere.
