Ezulwini– FNB Eswatini has paid out more than E540 000 to over 22 000 customers through its doubled Fuel Cash Back Rewards promotion, which ran from May to August 2026 to help ease the burden of rising fuel costs.

The promotion allowed customers who used their FNB bank cards to pay for fuel to benefit from increased cash-back rewards as part of the bank’s existing Fuel Cash Back Rewards Programme.

FNB Eswatini Executive Head of Retail Dr Mncedzi Ngomane said the promotion had helped customers stretch their money at a time when every Lilangeni mattered.

“On top of us giving back over E540 000 to our customers, over 22 000 customers benefited from this initiative. For each one of those customers, we know that every Lilangeni counts and we are always happy as a bank to help our customers stretch their money,” he said.

FNB Eswatini has also launched eWallet Plus, an upgraded version of its existing eWallet service that expands the ways customers can send, receive and access money.

The enhanced service allows existing FNB Eswatini customers to forward money received through eWallet to other recipients. Customers can also send money to MTN MoMo and other participating wallets on the Eswatini Payment Switch.

The service also allows customers to receive money from these participating wallets and other bank accounts into eWallet Plus.

Ngomane said the upgrade would give customers greater flexibility in transferring funds between different accounts and mobile wallets.

“eWallet has long been a trusted solution for customers who need a simple and convenient way to send money. With the introduction of eWallet Plus, we are expanding those capabilities to provide greater flexibility in how customers send, receive and access funds across different accounts and wallets,” he said.

He added that the enhancement was intended to make banking more accessible and respond to the changing financial needs of customers and emaSwati.
