Mbabane- Sikhunyana High School Head Teacher Justice Makhanya has mysteriously passed away on Tuesday after complaining of severe headache earlier that morning.
Makhanya is said to have been a healthy and strong man who loved to partake in sports activities. He reported for work on Monday in his always jolly mood, without complaining about any ailment but the school’s security guard, who also act as groundman was shocked on Tuesday morning when he saw his boss in a different mood.
According to one of the school teachers who preferred anonymity as the case was still sensitive to the whole school, his boss died in a mysterious more so because when he knocked off from work on Monday afternoon he was fully healthy.
The teacher said they were informed by the security guard on Tuesday morning that Makhanya left his car at the school gate and rushed to his house, at the school’s trachers quarters after complaining of a terrible headache.
The guard is said to have gone to check on his boss after noticing that he was not coming back from his house to fetch or remove his car from the school gate yet he had complained of not being well. Upon arrival at Makhanya’s house, the guard is said to have found him in a worse situation than before and he then rushed to report to teachers back at school.
“Makhanya was a strong and healthy person, who never complained of any sickness. We were shocked when the security guard came running to tells us that he was very sick at his house. When we got there, we found him in a very bad state such that he could no longer speak properly. We then notified his child who reside in Mbabane about the situation here and she quickly came. We were shocked when recieved the news that he has passed on.” Said the teacher in a somber mood.
The teacher also mentioned that the way Makhanya died leaves a lot to be desired since he was working on other critical issues at the school including some teachers who were summoned by the Teaching Service Commission for allegedly having sexual relationships with pupils. The teachers are supposed to respond to the letters served to them by the TSC on Monday 19th October 2026.
