MBABANE – South African music giants Soul Brothers are set to add their legendary sound to Mshikishi Mdzebele’s historic Double Celebration, with group leader Black Moses confirming their full support for the milestone event.
The highly anticipated celebration will take place on 21 November 2026 at Emsengeni Lounge, Ezulwini, honouring veteran musician Mshikishi Mdzebele as he celebrates 72 years of life and an impressive 52 years in music.
The confirmation of Soul Brothers’ involvement adds further weight to an event that is already shaping up to be a major celebration of Southern African musical heritage.
Soul Brothers, led by the legendary Black Moses, have built a strong reputation across the region, making their participation particularly significant as musicians and music lovers from Eswatini, South Africa and Mozambique are expected to come together for the occasion.
The celebration will recognise Mshikishi’s remarkable musical journey and his influence on generations of music lovers, while also creating an opportunity for established artists to honour one of their own.
Held under the theme “KUNCONO MANJE,” the event is expected to bring together different generations through music, with the focus extending beyond entertainment to celebrating the legacy of an artist who has spent more than five decades contributing to Eswatini’s music scene.
Mshikishi, popularly known as The Gorilla Man, has remained a respected figure in Umbhacanga and the broader local music industry. His 52-year milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on his contribution while introducing his story and musical legacy to younger audiences.
With Soul Brothers now confirmed in support, fans can look forward to a meeting of musical generations and a celebration rooted in respect, heritage and longevity.
