MBABANE – Mozambique and Eswatini will unite through music on October 30 as veteran Mozambican DJ and entertainer DJ Faya makes his way to 23:28 Lounge for a cross-border Throwback Friday experience.
The highly anticipated event, presented by NewLife Entertainment, will bring together DJ Faya and a line-up of Eswatini’s local DJs for a night built around nostalgia, timeless sounds and Southern African entertainment.
Joining the Mozambican star will be special guest Feling Capela from Mozambique, alongside local entertainers Ntombs, Karly B, Mixmash, Czar and DJ Cup.
Entry to the event will be free.
DJ Faya’s two-decade journey
Born Fayaz Abdul Hamide, DJ Faya has established himself as one of Mozambique’s veteran entertainment figures, with a career spanning more than two decades.
He started his DJ journey in 2000 before turning professional in 2004. Since then, he has remained active in the entertainment industry, building a reputation through years of performing for audiences in Mozambique and beyond.
His upcoming Eswatini appearance will give local music lovers an opportunity to experience the veteran DJ’s sound while revisiting some of the music that defined different eras.
With the event centred on the Throwback Friday concept, DJ Faya is expected to draw from his extensive experience behind the decks to create a nostalgic yet energetic atmosphere at 23:28 Lounge.
Local talent takes the stage
While DJ Faya provides the international attraction, the event will also shine a spotlight on Eswatini’s own entertainment talent.
Ntombs, Karly B, Mixmash, Czar and DJ Cup are set to add their individual sounds to the lineup, creating a musical exchange between the two neighbouring countries.
The collaboration comes at a time when cross-border entertainment continues to create opportunities for artists and DJs in the Southern African region to reach new audiences.
