MBABANE – One of Eswatini’s longest-standing entertainment brands, Swazi Boy Entertainment, is preparing to celebrate a major milestone as it marks 20 years of shaping the country’s music and events industry.

The company has announced that its 20th anniversary celebrations will take place on September 25 and 26, 2026, with the venue, artist lineup and ticketing details set to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Founded as an events and promotions company, Swazi Boy Entertainment has grown into a respected entertainment brand with a footprint spanning live events, artist development, radio, digital media and community initiatives. Over the past two decades, the company has consistently adapted to changing music trends while remaining committed to promoting local talent and creating platforms that connect artists with audiences.

Its journey began by organising birthdays, weddings, corporate functions and club events before expanding into radio broadcasting on SBIS 2 (91.6 FM). Through programmes such as The VIP Pass Fridays and Swazi Boy Rockers House Sessions Saturdays, the company introduced audiences to Neo Soul, Old Skool and House music while helping strengthen Eswatini’s nightlife and club culture.

House music would later become the company’s signature. Through its flagship House Musiq Fest and the popular Deep House Conversations (DHC) series, Swazi Boy Entertainment established one of the country’s leading House music experiences, bringing together local, regional and international DJs while creating a platform that celebrated quality music, culture and community.

Despite its strong House music identity, the company has continued to embrace a wide range of genres. It has supported Hip Hop artists such as Lyrikal Busta and Ncwiki Flex, while also promoting Gospel, Neo Soul, Old Skool, Afro House and the fast-growing Amapiano movement. Swazi Boy Entertainment has also contributed to industry development through workshops, including initiatives supported by the German Embassy, aimed at empowering local creatives.

The launch of Swazi Boy TV further expanded the brand’s reach, offering DJ mixes, live performances and entertainment content online. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the digital platform played an important role in keeping music lovers connected through virtual performances and stay-at-home party experiences.

Beyond entertainment, the company has remained committed to community development by supporting creative workshops such as the Dance Institute Workshop in partnership with the German Embassy, the Eswatini Creatives Workshop and several social responsibility initiatives.

Swazi Boy Entertainment Lead Mthunzi “Shadow” Zwane said the anniversary is a celebration of everyone who has contributed to the company’s success over the years.

“Reaching 20 years is a proud achievement for Swazi Boy Entertainment. It reflects the commitment, partnerships and support we have received from artists, DJs, audiences, sponsors and everyone who has believed in our vision. We are grateful for the journey so far and remain committed to creating platforms that celebrate music, develop talent and contribute to the continued growth of Eswatini’s creative industry,” he said.

As it enters its third decade, Swazi Boy Entertainment says it remains focused on embracing innovation, nurturing local talent and creating memorable entertainment experiences while continuing to play a significant role in the growth of Eswatini’s creative sector.
