MBABANE – Mbabane West Inkhundla is preparing to shine a spotlight on local creativity with the launch of its first-ever Talent Show and Music Festival, an initiative designed to discover, celebrate and promote artistic talent within the constituency.

The inaugural event, scheduled for Saturday, 11 July 2026, at Mahwalala Sports Ground, marks a significant milestone for the constituency as it creates a platform for aspiring entertainers and artists to showcase their abilities before their community.

The Organising Committee has officially opened registrations, inviting residents of Mbabane West Inkhundla to participate in what is expected to become one of the area’s flagship annual events.

Registration is free and exclusively open to constituency residents, giving local talent an opportunity to compete for recognition and attractive cash prizes.Participants can enter a variety of categories, including music, DJing, dance, poetry, comedy, fine art and traditional dance.

Traditional dance entries will feature cultural performances such as Ingadla, Sibhaca, Ummiso and Lutsango, highlighting Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage alongside contemporary artistic expressions.The competition offers substantial rewards, with the overall winner set to walk away with E4,000, while the second and third-place winners will receive E2,500 and E1,500, respectively.

Registration closes on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, with organisers stressing that no late entries will be accepted.The talent competition will run from 9:00am until 5:00pm, culminating in the crowning of the top three winners. However, the excitement will not end there, as the venue will transform into a vibrant music festival featuring performances by some of Eswatini’s leading artists and DJs.

The entertainment is expected to continue until midnight, promising a full day of music, culture and community celebration.Organisers have also confirmed that admission is free for members of the public, encouraging families, friends and supporters to attend and cheer on local performers.

Interested participants can register by contacting Chairperson Sibusiso Simelane (7668 7356), Vice Chairperson Dumisani Simelane (7685 9917), or Indvuna Yenkhundla Phinda Maziya (7641 7910).

The Organising Committee has called on all eligible residents to register before the deadline and be part of what promises to be a landmark celebration of talent and community spirit in Mbabane West Inkhundla.
