Mbabane– Eighteen lucky eBet customers walked away with smartphones and tablets today as the betting company continued its World Cup promotion aimed at rewarding loyal players across Eswatini.
The prize handover was held at the eBet offices in Swazi Plaza, Mbabane, where winners of the latest draw received 12 smartphones and six tablets.
The promotion, which runs from June 15 to September 4, is open to customers who registered with eBet during the campaign period. Winners are selected every week from Monday to Friday, with prizes awarded based on participation and wagering activity on the platform.
Customers with the highest deposits during the qualifying period win tablets, while other selected participants receive smartphones.
Among the other winners Bongani “Kabasa” Dlamini, who plays Mthunzi in the popular Eswatini television drama *Ekhaya*, which airs on South Africa’s SABC 1. Speaking after receiving his prize, Dlamini encouraged fellow players to bet responsibly and avoid risking money they cannot afford to lose.
“I encourage everyone to enjoy betting responsibly and ensure they do not spend money meant for important needs,” he said.
Explaining the gaming institution’s mandate, eBet Marketing Manager Bongekile Dlamini reiterated the company’s commitment to responsible gaming, urging prospective players to ensure they are of legal age before participating.
She said responsible gaming remains at the heart of the company’s operations and is reflected in eBet’s slogan, “Born to Win.”
Meanwhile, eBet Chief Executive Officer Sibonginkosi Lukhele said the promotion was a gesture of appreciation to customers who continue to support the platform.
“This giveaway is about our players. Without your support, eBet would not be where it is today. We are simply saying thank you for your loyalty and trust in our platform,” he said.
The World Cup promotion is the latest in a series of customer appreciation campaigns by the company. Last year, eBet rewarded players with prizes that included a vehicle, smart televisions and smartphones.
The CEO said the campaign will continue throughout the promotional period, giving more customers an opportunity to win as the countdown to the FIFA World Cup gathers momentum.
