Mthembeni Ndevu, professionally known by his stage name Emtee, is a South African rapper who has once again sparked widespread discussion on social media after making a series of serious allegations against the mother of his children, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy.
In a lengthy Instagram post shared on his account, the award-winning artist dismissed claims that he neglects his personal hygiene, saying people often use such remarks to attack him and boost their own egos.
“People always resort to ‘he doesn’t bath’ to boost their egos. I have two bathrooms. How I’m not bathing?” he wrote, adding that criticism about his appearance may simply be because he is “ugly,” as he claimed the mother of his children once told him.
However, the rapper’s post took a more serious turn as he alleged that he had been physically abused multiple times by Nicole. Emtee claimed he has suffered injuries and scars over the years and expressed frustration that many people would ridicule him rather than take his allegations seriously.
“I get beaten up by Nicole Kendall Chinsamy multiple times and I know y’all will laugh at me and call me all names in the book, but it’s cool, God got me,” he wrote.
The musician further alleged that Nicole threw away his Bible and accused her of wanting to harm him after he allegedly “caught her” engaging in undisclosed activities. He insisted that he was not seeking financial assistance but rather support and understanding regarding his situation.
The allegations have generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users expressing concern for the rapper’s well-being while others questioned the claims and called for both sides of the story to be heard.
At the time of publication, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy had not publicly responded to the allegations made by Emtee. The claims therefore remain unverified and should be treated as allegations until further information emerges.
The latest developments add to the public scrutiny surrounding the rapper’s personal life, which has often played out on social media. Fans and observers continue to monitor the situation closely, awaiting a response from Nicole or any further clarification from Emtee.
As discussions continue online, many have highlighted the importance of taking all allegations of domestic abuse seriously, regardless of gender, while allowing due process and evidence to determine the facts.
