The Directorate of Industrial and Vocational Training (DIVT) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security is today gathered for a strategic review of apprenticeship and job training guidelines spanning 12 trades, with the Cooking trade the focus of Wednesday’s session.
Prior to today’s meeting, five trades had already gone through the review process, making the Cooking trade the sixth to be assessed under the initiative.
Hospitality industry experts are part of the panel driving the review, with representatives from Piggs Peak Hotel, The George Hotel, ECOT former Heads of Departments and Mpaka Vocational Training all contributing their expertise to the process.
The Taiwan Embassy is supporting the initiative, continuing a partnership with Eswatini that has been central to advancing skills development in the Kingdom.
