Mbabane: Prominent cleric, Mbabane Alliance Church Senior Pastor, Reverend Johannes Vuyisile Mazibuko has been discharged from the Lubombo Referral Hospital where he was admitted. This is after the man of God had tested positive for COVID-19 early this month.
Speaking to this reporter Reverend Mazibuko said he was at home and recovering well. He highlighted that he was fresh from another misfortune where he lost his wife, Pastor Rose Mazibuko after she battled with a chronic disease for a long time.
“It might help to know that soon after I lost my wife I got infected with the virus and things were not that easy for me but I thank God that I have had a powerful support system in my church and the entire Christian community countrywide,” said the Reverend.
The news of the Reverend being infected and subsequently admitted at the Lubombo Referral Hospital led to fake news making rounds on social media to the effect that he had succumbed to the incessant virus, to which he hastily responded by posting his picture sitting on his hospital bed, with a message asking for the saints’ prayers.
Mazibuko said he was eternally thankful for the support he got from the church and nation at large while undergoing treatment at the referral hospital.
