Mbabane – Five choirs from Eswatini will represent the country at the Tiro Mpane Regional Choral Music Competition in South Africa this weekend after receiving a send-off from Minister of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima.
Speaking to the ensembles, Minister Nzima said their participation reflects the steady growth and rising standards of choral music in Eswatini. He noted the discipline, commitment, and excellence consistently demonstrated by local choirs on regional stages.
The minister also congratulated gospel artist Sphiwo Ndoni for winning Best Song of the Year at the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards, pointing to the recognition as evidence of Eswatini’s growing influence in the regional music scene.
The choirs will compete with groups from across the region as the Kingdom continues to advance cultural excellence and support youth development through music.
