Mbabane – The ninth edition of Market Lounge came alive this Friday at Abert Millin, bringing together a dynamic mix of small businesses, designers, and creatives eager to showcase their products and services.

Held quarterly at different venues, Market Lounge aims to unite small businesses, provide a platform for exposure, and strengthen the entrepreneurial community. Over the years, it has become a premier stage for emerging brands to connect with potential customers and expand their networks.

In an interview, Fisokuhle Khumalo, one of the event organizers, emphasized the importance of Market Lounge in promoting small businesses.

“The event plays a vital role in showcasing local talent and creating networking opportunities. We encourage the public to follow our social media pages for updates, as most communication and exhibitor information is shared online,” Khumalo explained.

Among the standout exhibitors was Boutique Couture, a high-end fashion brand gaining attention among fashion enthusiasts. Represented by Marketing Director Marine, the brand specializes in exclusive, one-of-a-kind custom clothing pieces.

“Boutique Couture creates customized items of clothing; we don’t mass-produce. Every piece is unique,” Marine said.

Customers can share their vision, personality, and preferences, allowing the brand to craft the perfect outfit for any special occasion.

The designs are the work of Marine Massini, a young designer who recently became the youngest participant in the New Fashion Program this year. Her mission is to produce high-quality pieces that stand the test of time, prioritizing craftsmanship over fast fashion trends.

Other notable exhibitors included Ma-co Kitchen, specializing in cocktails. The owner shared that attending Market Lounge has helped elevate his business. “I have been able to run my business through these gatherings. People are supporting me, and the exposure I’m getting has really helped market my hustle,” he said.

Smash Burger Bars also made an impression with their signature burger, prepared in just ten seconds with all necessary ingredients. The owner highlighted how the platform has been instrumental in reaching new customers and growing the brand.

With each edition, Market Lounge continues to highlight the creativity, innovation, and resilience of local entrepreneurs, cementing its role as a vital hub for Eswatini’s small business community.
