Mbabane – The Eswatini born ‘Princess of Amapiano,’ Lungelihle Zwane, aka, Uncle Waffles, has once again set social media alight, this time for a light-hearted street interview moment that quickly went viral.

Uncle Waffles who have built her internationally acclaimed stardom as a DJ and performer was in a TikTok clip by a New Yorker, Isaac Hindin-Miller @isaaclikes, responding to questions when she jokingly used a SiSwati phrase: “Tibunu temgololo tincane,” to refer to him as having a small booty.

In the brief interview, what got followers noticing and in stitches the most was the use of her native language, SiSwati, to teach Isaac, on request, something to say before bursting into the folklore phrase.

The clip received more than 1.8 million views and over 1500 comments.

Many said she has a down-to-earth personality despite her rapid rise to global fame. Uncle Waffles has become one of the most recognizable faces in Amapiano music, headlining stages across Africa, Europe and the United States. Yet moments like this prove she hasn’t lost touch with her Eswatini roots, where she often receives overwhelming love and support.

“I’m going to teach him how to say, ‘You have a small booty,’ [in SiSwati]. Tibunu temkololo tincane,” she said, after Isaac asked, “Waffles, will you please teach me something to say in SiSwati.”

The video has since been widely shared across platforms like X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram, with thousands of comments from fans around the world reacting to her spontaneous humour.
