Brothers Luca and Tiano Fraser have left the Enjabulweni Seawolves and joined the Pelicans Swimming Club, citing a lack of support from their former team.

The move comes after the Seawolves failed to back Luca during a publicized issue he had with the Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA).

The brothers explained that while leaving the Seawolves was a tough decision, the club’s silence during Luca’s problem with the ESA was a major disappointment. They said the club never even reached out to them.

Now under the guidance of Coach Sluga Simelane, the Frasers believe the Pelicans offer a better, more supportive environment for their long-term growth. They were drawn to the club’s vision, strong coaching, and positive team culture, noting that Coach Simelane’s belief in their potential was a key reason for the switch.

Both Luca and Tiano are excited about the positive impact they believe this change will have on their morale and performance. They look forward to training with new teammates and learning different strategies to sharpen their skills.

Their main goals for the season are to help the Pelicans succeed, achieve personal best times, and qualify for major competitions. Despite the challenge of leaving their old team, they are grateful for the warm welcome from the Pelicans and are eager to make this a memorable season.

The Pelicans Swimming Club also expressed its enthusiasm about the new additions. Coach Sluga Simelane said, “We are delighted to welcome Luca and Tiano Fraser to the Pelicans family. Their talent, discipline, and passion for swimming perfectly match our club’s values. Beyond their competitive ability, they bring a positive energy that lifts the whole team. We’re confident our program will help them reach their full potential, and we look forward to seeing them make waves this season and beyond.”
